There are few destinations that agree with everyone, and Prague is one of them. The capital of the Czech Republic is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and should be one of the first options to get away from the old continent. Oh, you don't need to. We convince you because you already have the tickets? Well, the next step is to look for accommodation. And for we are here: next we will tell you what are the best areas to stay in Prague Y We recommend a few hotels (good, nice and cheap) to make things even easier for you 😉

Obviously it depends on your plan: there are bunk beds in hostels for about € 16 (or less) and also luxury hotels where you can drop tickets without stopping. But in general Prague with fairly cheap accommodations, let's say that if you are looking for a double room, with a good score and excellent location, you will pay some € 40/70 per night. Of course there are cheaper options (from € 25 / night) and some somewhat more expensive (there are very good hotels for about € 100 or less!). Look at the best offers.

There are basically 4 areas in Prague where to look for accommodation:

  • Staré Mesto
  • Josefov
  • Nové Mesto
  • Malá Strana

We give you more details of each one below, and we propose some interesting accommodations in each of them:

Staré Mesto (Old Town)

It is the historical center and, without a doubt, the best option to stay in Prague as you will be one step away from the main attractions of the city. The bad thing is that prices are somewhat higher that in the rest of the zones, the good thing is that they are still affordable if we compare them with other European capitals. In addition, having so much concentration of accommodation, you can often find irreproachable offers. It is, without a doubt, the area where we always look, and the one we recommend on your first trip to Prague, especially if you find something next to the Old Town Square. Of course, keep in mind that it is the most tourist area of the city, and with more movement.

Specifically, we recommend you to search for a hotel or hostel near the Wenceslas Square. Being a less touristy neighborhood, the feeling you will have will be to know the most authentic face, far from the souvenir shops and the clichés of Prague.
