Here we have been told that they eat the best quesadillas in all of Cancun. We do not know if there are other richer ones, but the truth is that they were to suck their fingers and lick their mustache. Also, as the name implies, they prepare “gorditas”, a Mexican dish that reminded us a bit of the arepas (without any offense to anyone). Prices: $ 35 quesadillas, $ 17 chubby, $ 30 burritos, $ 17 sodas. Come on, a perfect place if you want to eat well and cheaply in Cancun.

A super authentic place, with nice staff that will make you feel at ease and an owner, Bart, who is quite a character. Here, obviously, you have to try the house specialty: tacos (try fish or steak). The nachos are also rich. It is close to the Palapas Park, in the heart of Downtown. Tip: do not miss the offer "happy hour all day long" hehe consisting of 2 × 1 cocktails (the pina colada is delicious) ayayayayayayyy only costs $ 80 (€ 3.6).

If you want to try the Yucatan foodYou have to approach this little restaurant. Tip: don't stop eating the plate of cochinita pibil ($ 120) and the lime soup ($ 50). The panuchos also have pintza and, of course, try their fresh waters: good, beautiful and cheap. Definitely worth moving here.

It is one of the most beloved options in the hotel zone. The reason is simple: good atmosphere, good food and good prices ... Come on, a winning combo. Here you have to try the odd Fish dish (There are from tacos to fillets), much better if they are accompanied by a very cool crown. Tip: there are beautiful views of the lagoon. Prices: beer $ 50 approx, two fish tacos $ 74, grilled shrimp with apricot sauce $ 265 ... Average price: $ 300-400 / person.

It is a restaurant with local food in the hotel zone, so you can expect that prices will be higher than in downtown Cancun. But we found them quite moderate, compared to the feast we hit! It was the first restaurant we tried in Mexico and let us down. We ordered several typical dishes, but what we really liked were the tacos, especially the arrachera ones. Prices: Corona $ 35, 3 tacos $ 100 flank steak, burrito $ 120, 3 shepherd tacos $ 32.

Go to Palapas Park and eat in one of his street stalls. It is certainly one of the most interesting things you can do in Cancun ... 100% local atmosphere!
