After grabbing a train to Gorizia and a blablacar where we met Elisa, an Italian super maja and a French friend (as it was called? Damn memory!) We arrived at our first stop: Ljubljana. Here we spend 3 super entertaining days and after every super entertaining day what you need is to rest well ... well we did it in the Vrba Hostel. Today we talk about our experience here ...
The Vrba Hostel is located about 5-10 minutes from the city center and we found it a perfect place to stay in Ljubljana. The word Vrba means weeping willow, and it is that right in front of the hostel there is one ... although we found it very happy and cheerful (it will be that on the other side of the creek, at night, there are little bars with live music and liters of beer :-p). We stay in one double room, very clean and beautiful, although there are options mixed bedrooms (or only female).
There is bathrooms common wide and immaculate, for testimony… look at the photos 🙂
The hostel also has a kitchen Community where you can cook your own dishes or try to reproduce some Slovenian recipe of unpronounceable but very tasty names. In the same kitchen there is a large area with a computer and sofa where you can read a book, relax or chat with other travelers. The staff was very friendly, always ready to give tips on what to see and do in Ljubljana and how to take advantage of the time in Slovenia.
Come on, our assessment is totally positive and if you are looking for a convenient and beautiful hostel where to sleep in Ljubljana we recommend Vrba 🙂 if you go say hello to Urska from us!

- More info: There is free wifi (and very fast). If you do not have a towel you can ask for one at the reception (at no cost). As in each accommodation in Ljubljana you have to pay a tourist fee of € 1.27 per person / night. If you travel by car there is free parking in front of the hostel and if you want to move by bike, there are free rentals from April to October ... and Ljubljana is perfect to be visited by bike :). They also offer a 10% discount at the restaurantGostilna Pod Vrbo 2 minutes walk from the hostel, with typical Slovenian food.
- Prices: double room € 20 per person in low season (€ 25 in high season). The bedrooms between € 13-15 in low season (€ 15-17 in high season).
