Often those who have never gone to campsites imagine them as narrow, ugly and dirty places, where perroflauts are more similar to the last survivor than to pleasant neighbors with whom to exchange talks. You don't know how wrong you are!

The normal thing is to find yourself with well-maintained and clean facilities, in a very cool environment next to a small beach or in the middle of a relaxing forest, and with friendly plot neighbors and predisposed to give you a cable in everything. For us, it is an experience that must be lived at least once in a lifetime, and most likely you will end up repeating.

In this post we will tell you a few camping tips.

You can go camping alone, of course, but the fun multiplies if you go as a couple or in a group. Further (spoileeeer alert) you just have to see how it ended towards Towards Wild Routes. But be careful, because as with each trip, you have to have enough confidence with your companions, a lot of social life is made in a campsite, you have to cook, order, etc ... and it is always better to coordinate with people with whom you feel more taste.

Ideally, take advantage of these days to disconnect to the fullest ... how long have you spent a whole day without looking at the email or gossiping Facebook? We already respond: too much! So take advantage of these camping days to make a technological detox as God commands. If you think you can not survive without your phone (vaaaale, a Netflix series never hurts) or without your ebook, a good idea is to take a power bank to recharge your devices in case there is no electricity.

If going camping doesn't convince you, you don't have to give up the experience of camping. How? Go to the glamping: believe us, there are facilities that have nothing to envy to a category hotel. You can find some good examples on the Yelloh Village website. In this case, adventure and comfort go hand in hand. And yes ... with those pools you can convince even the most pija friend 😉

They are usually plots that have luxury stores (and even cabins or small houses) that include electricity, hot showers, swimming pool, Wi-Fi zone and children's play area. Come on, luxury campsites!

Ok machote! If you want to get lost in the forest and play for survival, at least try to take some essential things with you:

  • Tent and sleeping bag (you will not sleep in a pine tree's cup and clothe yourself with tree bark).
  • A pan, cup, plate and fork / spoon / knife and camping gas cooking kit.
  • Food (cans, pasta, rice, nuts, energy bars and non-perishable foods that do not need refrigerators).
  • Water
  • Soap, toothpaste and brush. Try not to wash yourself in waters of rivers, lakes, sea ... or if you do, use an organic soap.
  • First aid kit.
  • Headlamp
  • Clamp and rope

Do not make the mistake of leaving everything to improvisation or you may miss something incredibly attractive: find out before or during your stay. We almost missed the visit of Ampuriabrava because the campsite with private coves on the Costa Brava was luxurious! And a local hit us.

Seriously, we do not understand how man can travel freely through space and still no one has invented a tent that opens and above all closes easily. If you have those that open in a few seconds, practice riding it. If you have rods, practice more!

One of the great enemies of our forests is the fires. So do it only in places where it is allowed and never leave it unattended. Before leaving, make sure the fire is completely off. It's not any joke! Do not endanger the environment, or your wallet (fines are very high) for an oversight.

Especially in high season, forget about going to a campsite and pretending to find a place for your pretty face ... people love camping and it is a cheap and beautiful way to travel. In Europe it is one of the most typical styles of knowing places. If you don't want to go back to your house and camp in the garden, reserve your place in advance.

... Or you will have company sooner rather than later. Either wasps and ants or larger animals. Better not take a risk and close everything well!

There are a thousand things you can do while camping: trekking, bathing on the beach (or in the pool if you have one), sunbathing, reading a book, listening to music, making new friends, visiting a nearby town. Come on ... if you get bored, it's because you want to! So don't complain about anything XD

... Make sure they are allowed areas. There are places where camping is prohibited, such as beaches or many forests. It is possible that nothing happens, but being awakened by a forest ranger ready to fine you and give you a good fight is not the awakening you had dreamed.

If you go to private campsites you will not have problems, there will be many bins and containers where you can throw your garbage. But if you decide to camp for free, take the trash with you and throw it away as soon as you can, only in places intended for it.

You decide to go for glamping, camping or free camping… it doesn't matter: the important thing is that you enjoy the little things that we often forget. Take a dip on the beach during sunset, see the stars, prepare your food with awareness and taste it (but really!), Read that book that you never have time to read and, most important of all, spend quality time with yours.
