Day 1: BARCELONA - YAKARTA

Ringggg, ringgggggggg. Alarm clock sound Sounds like every morning, but today is different, it even seems to sound different. We have to go to work, but it will only be for a few hours, because today is the day we will take a flight Barcelona Jakarta, which will take us to our destination this year.
We are going to Indonesia !!!
Before starting on travel diary to IndonesiaI would like to clarify that the fate of this trip emerged many months ago almost without thinking, after reading a story about Borneo's orangutans on a website.
We think of it as a possible destination for a few years, like so many others ... but suddenly and almost unwittingly we saw it with the tickets to Jakarta.
This happened after canceling our idea of India for this year, for not being the best time to go, in which we had vacations this year.
So after this, we can only say: there we go Indonesia.
We moved to Barcelona at noon, after a few hours working.
Our flight Barcelona Jakarta with stopover in Amsterdam with KLM It is at 4:30 p.m., so they leave us on T1 at 1 a.m. and we have a drink before going straight to check our 65-liter backpacks, to start feeling a little lighter.

Although in the backpacks we carry a good part of our belongings: photographic equipment, a couple of changes of each, laptop, cables ... so we can not say that we go light at all.
This time we will fly with KLM. It's 21 hours of travel. Will stopover in Amsterdam (2 hours) and then a technical stop in Malaysia, in Kuala, for an hour and a half.
Almost without realizing it comes our time to go to the boarding gates and what is our surprise, when we see on the screens that there are many delayed flights ... so far ours does not ... until the time comes that yes! We see that it's only 10 minutes, but we start to think that we only have 2-hour stopover in Amsterdam and we don't feel like running through the halls (as it has been happening lately in the transits we do).
And just enough to think one thing to happen! At least to me ...
Look that they have told me times ... but nothing, I continue with my "forced" pessimism on the issue of flights.
After half an hour, they tell us that we can embark and look at each other with a face of relief. How little we knew what was going to happen to us ...
Once accommodated in our seats, the commander speaks, telling all passengers, that they do not give him a clue and that we are expected to be waiting for an hour. And here is when we see perfectly that the accounts do not come out. Neither forward nor backward. We don't have time to link with the flight from Amsterdam to Jakarta…
We start to make faces, we start to get nervous and I am going to talk to the commander who is giving references to several passengers.

The flight from Barcelona to Amsterdam It lasts for 2.20h, but when they say there are 10 minutes left to land, we realize that it has only been 2 hours. That gives us 20 minutes left.

Well now, after what I ran, I can say yes, that little more and I'm dying, but that we could catch the plane. What I remember most is seeing Roger in the distance, running through the halls.
Surely we looked like 2 crazy recently escaped from an insane asylum !!
Of course, the face of the people when they saw us enter was a poem. I didn't look in a mirror, but because of the heat I had, I play my right hand because my face was the closest thing to a balloon about to explode.
After relaxing a little and taking a breath, we remember the bags. It was impossible that they had embarked. Roger looked at me again with an inquiring face, telling me that I always get the worst!
And so we passed the flight, I thinking that the bags would not arrive and Roger firmly believing yes.
Well, apart from thinking about that, we ate, we slept (quite a bit, by the way), we watched a movie ... and above all we get tired of so many hours of flight.
Someday, I have promised myself, that we will make a trip of these so many hours in first. I'm going to spend the entire flight lying down. Mmm ... just think about it.The trip to Indonesia has begun.
